James and Rachel were married at Mt Duneed Estate, celebrating their day with a relaxed, joyful atmosphere and a few thoughtful surprises along the way.

The day began with getting ready coverage before heading into a first look in the olive grove, giving them a quiet moment together before everything kicked off. From there, we explored the property for portraits, making the most of the soft light and natural setting that Mt Duneed Estate is known for.

As the afternoon rolled on, we were treated to a great sunset, stepping out briefly to capture those golden light portraits before heading back in for the reception.

One of the highlights of the day was Rachel surprising James with a live wedding painter, capturing their portrait earlier in the day to then paint their portrait to have forever, a really unique and meaningful addition to the celebration.

The night finished exactly how it should, a first dance followed by a packed dance floor, with everyone soaking up the moment and celebrating properly.

A genuinely fun, thoughtful wedding from start to finish.

Tell me about your The Beginning!

We meet via a dating app, tinder. Our first date was at a pub. We played pool (and I lost twice). We then said our goodnights and headed home. 8 Years later I am getting to marry the most beautiful, kind hearted soul.

When and where did you get engaged?

James surprised me for my birthday with a trip to Port Douglas, we had a few days of adventures and relaxation. We hired a car and took a trip to the daintree rainforest walk, we walked right to the top of the tower he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I was shocked & so surprised I didn’t expect it at all.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

James: ” Seeing your beautiful face, walking down the isle ” Rachel: Seeing the day I HAVE PLANNED all come together. Plus dancing cant wait to bust out my moves haha!
