Tell me about your The Beginning!

We met in high school, we were in the same class in year 7 & 8, he was the class clown, and I was the complete opposite, we still are those people to a degree. We ended up getting a little closer at a party in year 12 on Valentine’s Day with our first kiss, nothing became of that. Then over a year later post High School I wake up to a drunk message from Kale “I love you” which I replied back to and we kept talking. We went on our first date to the movies and saw the Martian.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged on June 6th 2024 in Halls Gap on a rather elaborate blindside of a weekend.. Kale arranged with my best friend to message me and ask if me and Kale wanted to go away for the long weekend. So while we are on the couch I ask if he’s free and wants to go, Kale with his poker face agrees. The weekend comes and my friend lets me know she got her dates mixed up and her and her husband can’t come until the following day, I think nothing of it. Kale and I drive up, he was more stressed than normal however I thought it was just because we left late because he was working and the road was getting dark and he thought he might hit a kangaroo on the way. We arrive at the property and there are three cabins spread out and we had to call my friend to find out what cabin is ours, little did I know she was trying to look through messages from Kale to work out which one it was.. we then relised it was the one without any lights on, checked in then went out for dinner. We came back I went to go get change and before my shoes came off Kale called me back into the living area and was playing a Christmas song (because he played a Christmas song 6 months earlier, we had a cute dance in the kitchen and I thought he was going to propose then) he got down on one knee and proposed. PS friends never came, all apart of the plan.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Winter Wedding, Black tie, modern romantic, black white and bits of a purple/ pink.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

100% seeing each others faces
