Tell me about your The Beginning!

We met unexpectedly at a dark and dingy nightclub back in 2013. Alex asked Tom to dance and he said he’d meet her on the dance floor. Alex was convinced he wasn’t going to show up — but moments later, there he was. A sneaky dance-floor kiss followed.

A few days later we met up again, and we haven’t looked back since.

When and where did you get engaged?

Tom proposed in April 2025 in Daylesford. The moment didn’t quite go to plan at first — we ran into one of Alex’s work friends and stopped for a wine, completely unaware that Tom was quietly panicking as time slipped by and the daylight faded.

While Alex was happily chatting and laughing, Tom was internally stressing about how he’d pull off the proposal… which makes the memory even sweeter (and funnier) now.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

White and cream, chocolate brown, green and burgundy, with pops of colour through guest outfits and florals. One big party with music to match — a celebration of our love, surrounded by our closest family and friends.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Tom: Getting to marry Alex and call her my wife.

Alex: Marrying my best friend, calling Tom my husband, and stepping into the next season of our life together.
