Rach and Will’s micro wedding took place along the iconic Great Ocean Road, with Lorne providing the perfect backdrop for an intimate, nature-filled celebration. Their day began with a peaceful walk to Stony Creek, where they exchanged vows at the base of a cascading waterfall near the Lily pond. After the ceremony, the celebration continued inland at Hilltop Hideaway Villas, where a beautiful outdoor setup beneath the gum trees created a relaxed and meaningful space to celebrate with their closest people.

Tell me about your The Beginning!
We met during Covid working in a hospital and became great friends. We immediately got on, bonding over a similar sense of humour (which kept us afloat during 2020), love of good food and wine and shared values. It wasn’t until months later that we fell in love and after Rach returned to VIC from working in the NT we decided to see if our friendship would translate to a relationship. 5 years and a baby later and we have never looked back.
When and where did you get engaged?
Will surprised Rachael with a 1am proposal on Kangaroo Island during a trip with her family when they were over from the UK. Very low key and surrounded by family; he even borrowed the ring off her sister’s finger.
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
Micro Wedding with just our families, the closest thing to an elopement we could get away with without being blacklisted from family events!
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Will – Seeing Rach for the first time Rach – becoming Wills wife and doing so surrounded by all of our loved ones
Top Tips!
Do what makes you happy, you can’t please everyone and your wedding day is a day to put yourselves first – you won’t regret it
