Kim and Adam were married on a stunning winter afternoon at the Batesford Hotel, celebrating with their closest family and friends in a day that was relaxed, heartfelt, and full of joy.

The day began with a first look, giving them a quiet moment together before the celebrations unfolded. From there, it was time for their ceremony at the Batesford Hotel, where they exchanged vows surrounded by the people who have been part of their journey together.

After the ceremony, we made the short trip to Dog Rocks for portraits. With the winter sun sitting low in the sky, we were treated to beautiful golden light and sweeping views across the countryside, creating the perfect backdrop to finish off their portraits before heading back to celebrate.

The rest of the evening was exactly what Kim and Adam had envisioned, a big party with the people they love most. Plenty of laughter, heartfelt moments, and a dance floor that wrapped up a genuinely wonderful day.

Tell me about your The Beginning!

We met at the start of Covid… on the classiest of dating apps, Hinge. We were living 80kms from each other. So messages turned into phone calls, into a zoom date. We broke a few rules (sorry Dan!) and crossed the ring of steel. We had our first date at Rippleside with a romantic walk including face masks. Everything flowed smoothly from there. And shortly after we moved in together. In 2023, we welcomed our son Henry and a short 17-months later, our daughter Elsie. Our life with toddlers is beautifully chaotic but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

When and where did you get engaged?

The proposal was simple, but perfect.

The day after moving into our new home, we were sitting on the couch with a cup of tea, watching The Block, when Adam pulled out a ring.

We already had the kids, the dog, and our new home. This felt like the final piece of the puzzle.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Thrifty elegance! We have gone large on the guest list, so we aim to have one big party! Luckily the venue is stunning in itself. We have hired beautiful artificial flowers from our friends with vintage style pieces to compliment.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

We look forward to all the formalities to be over, so we can get down to celebrating with our friends and family.
