Lewis & Caitlin’s Provenance Wines Wedding | Fyansford

October 2, 2026

Lewis and Caitlin’s wedding at Provenance Wines in Fyansford was a day full of thoughtful details, genuine moments, and a little bit of everything from the weather, but none of it stopped these two from having an incredible day.

The morning began in Ocean Grove, where Lewis and Caitlin both got ready before braving the weather for their first look. We managed to sneak in a few quick portraits before making our way to Provenance Wines, where their closest friends and family were waiting for the ceremony.

By the time the ceremony wrapped up, the weather had cleared and given us the perfect opportunity to head back outside for more portraits around the beautiful Provenance Wines grounds.

Lewis and Caitlin had clearly put so much thought and effort into the details of their wedding, and seeing everything come together made the day feel particularly special. From the ceremony through to a brilliant reception with plenty of fun thrown in, it was a relaxed, personal celebration and such a great day to photograph.

Tell me about your The Beginning!

On the apps! We met on Hinge – our first conversation after matching was a debate about the best flavour of Arnotts Shapes, and Lewis was late to the first date! Caitlin was left waiting in the entrance of a Japanese restaurant for nearly 30 minutes. She wondered at what point to assume she must’ve been stood up and head home, but stayed because something kept telling her, “but what if this is it?”. The first date was relatively uneventful – both had a good time and impression of the other, but Lewis kept his cards close to his chest and didn’t give too much away. After a hug goodbye, Caitlin decided she’d like to see him again, but couldn’t tell if Lewis felt the same so decided to leave any future plans up to him. 24 hours later he reached out saying he’d like to go out again, and they made plans to see a show together the following week during Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The second date went a lot smoother, bonding over Tom Gleeson’s comedy and a glass of wine or two at a rooftop bar, Caitlin and Lewis stayed out together until 4am. Seeing each other almost every night of the comedy festival for the next few weeks saw Caitlin and Lewis go to 15 comedy shows together. By the end of the festival, Caitlin finally gave in and let Lewis join her at the dog park one day, with Lewis finally meeting the dogs that would become part of his family.

When and where did you get engaged?

Caitlin had been extremely hard at work for delivery week of her project for her job at Melbourne Uni, pulling extra long hours during the weeks prior which finished up on Wednesday 20th August 2025. Lewis suggested a little surprise trip on Saturday 23rd August 2025 to de-stress and wind down. He told her only of the things she should bring and what sort of clothing to wear, and to her surprise they spent a relaxing morning at Peninsula Hot Springs, a place Caitlin had been eager to visit for some time. On the way back from the hot springs, Lewis pulled in to a random little street overlooking the beach at Mt Eliza. As they went down onto the beach, Caitlin spotted a styled picnic at a bathing box with a sign that said “will you marry me?” and turned around to find Lewis on one knee. After accepting, Caitlin’s attention was directed behind them, where their dogs came running from around the corner to celebrate with them. Lewis had successfully pulled off a long-con, arranging one of Caitlin’s friends to come into their apartment after they’d left that morning, and bring the dogs down to be part of the engagement. After taking some photos, Caitlin’s friend left them to it and with their dogs by their side, they enjoyed the delicious picnic and champagne, and the first moments of engagement before sharing the news with their loved ones.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

We mainly just want the wedding to be a big party and a fun day for everyone. We love colour, so our theme is disco bloom – lots of orange, pinks, silver and disco balls. We didn’t want to include anything too traditional just for the sake of it that wasn’t us, so there’s lots of fun touches including our dogs as ring bearers, a raffle to decide our witnesses, a party round of bingo to kick off the reception, and an ice cream van for dessert!

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Lewis: I cannot wait to see Caitlin at that first look and as she starts walking down the aisle, it is going to make it so real for me. At the moment I am in love with the idea of marrying her, but I just simply cannot wait to make that a reality (side note, I will be crying practically the entire ceremony). Caitlin: Lewis has kept his suit choice a secret from me (on the condition my maid of honour could see and approve it!), so I’m excited for this to be revealed during the first look. I’m also just so excited to have lots of fun with our favourite people – most of my friends and all of my family live interstate, so the opportunity to have everyone come together doesn’t happen often!

Top Tips!

Make the day about things that you want! If something doesn’t interest you, don’t feel like you need to include it just because ‘that’s what you do at a wedding’. The planning can be stressful, but don’t forget to still enjoy the process! Turn some of the planning into date nights – one night, we made the cocktails we’d shortlisted for our ceremony unity shots with our guests, and had a game night of Sequence and Phase 10 while listening to Spotify playlists of wedding reception bangers. In one night, we had decided on our choice of drink, chosen some of our ‘must play’ reception songs, and had a fun games night while still managing to tick items off the to-do list!
