Rocklea Farm Wedding – Sarah & Michael, Next Day Previews

May 12, 2024

Well what can I say about yesterday! These two were so laid back it was fantastic, they got ready at the same location followed by an intimate first look before being married in front of sixty of their nearesty and dearest friends.

We then lucked out big time as the Southern Lights, Aurora Australis, made an appearance, this biggest of it’s kind in 20 years so of course we had to capture it!

Read on below for a little bit more about these two as well as the dream team that made it happen and of course all the beautiful sneak images from their wedding yeaterday!

Tell me about your The Beginning!

We meet back in high school when we travelled on the bus together to and from school. We were in different year levels and didn’t really have much to do with each other until we were re-connected about 8 years after school through friends of friends. Our first date included a road trip down to the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie where we shared a lemon meringue and hot chocolates.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged in November 2022. We were on holiday in Port Douglas for Michael’s 30th birthday. We day tripped up to the Daintree Rainforest, where we spent the day walking the rainforest trails in torrential rain. Despite the terrible weather, Michael was committed to his plans and popped the question on one of the lookouts over the river.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Simplistic country vibes!

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Spending the whole day together and having an amazing day with our loved ones.

Top Tips!

Less is more, don’t overthink or overcomplicate it. It’s easy to get so confused in the little details, but so long as your with your partner then that’s all that really matters!
